Professional rules adopted by
the Fédération Nationale de la Presse d’Information Spécialisée
to which LaRSG adheres
Pluralist and diversified, the Specialised Press is a press of information and permanent education of the citizen. It responds to the needs of readers in their role as people at work, as cultural and social figures.
This role, which is essential in our society, implies duties for the publications concerned.
That is why, respecting the legal and regulatory provisions and aware of their responsibility, they have agreed, within the framework of the unions that group them together, to subscribe to the following rules:
- The publisher will maintain the editorial independence of its publication with regard to any pressure group (advertisers, public authorities, etc.).
- The editor will avoid any confusion between editorial articles and advertising. He will refuse to publish an article on the basis of advertising or financial considerations.
The publisher will not accept any advertising that imitates the editorial content and presentation of the publication without this text being specifically identified as a message paid for by an advertiser. - The publisher must publish and be able to justify the circulation and average annual circulation of its publication, if its advertising sales exceed 50% of the total sales of its publication.
- The publisher will refrain from practising sales methods that use misleading arguments or discredit other publications.
- Aware that readers have a right to free and pluralist information, each publisher will work to ensure that freedom of the press is not infringed.
